Uptown Grocery is an innovative new venture offering its customers a fresh and exciting take on their grocery shopping experience. Spanning 51,000 square feet, Uptown Grocery offers a full-service grocery area that includes a fresh deli area, a gourmet bakery, a pharmacy, and a floristry department. In addition to the grocery area there is a 2,000 square foot mezzanine that is used for cookery classes and other community activities – a first in the state of Oklahoma.
In keeping with its community focus, Uptown Grocery wished to minimize its energy consumption, so LED lighting was used throughout, as was eco-friendly refrigeration and geothermal HVAC services to ensure conservative energy usage.
The market also features an outdoor café area with sympathetic native landscaping used in pedestrian areas and throughout the grounds. The site also comprises of two additional retail areas that are leased to smaller and independent retailers.
