Summary
Holy Spirit Catholic Church has worked diligently for 20 years to recognize their vision of a new worship space that represents their growing faith family. The new building features a gathering place, sanctuary, baptismal font, vesting sacristy, choir loft and support spaces for weekly mass and daily chapel devotionals. Imported Italian marble presents classical beauty in the 47-foot tall sanctuary, complimented by wood wrapped beam ceilings, natural light, and a warm color pallet, making this a truly stunning and inviting space.
Catholic churches hold a long tradition in architectural history and Holy Spirit offers a contemporary interpretation of these classic elements. A largely glass copula allows natural light to wash down on the alter, ambo and tabernacle. Sussman windows were installed throughout which which allow natural light into the sanctuary, while seamlessly facilitating the installation of stained glass (in the future) without impacting the building's weathertightness or energy efficiency.
Marble elements adorn the alter wall, floor, stations of the cross, niches for statues, holy water and baptismal font. The transepts were built in a way to make future expansion easy for the church. The natural color scheme also adorns the exterior which has a handmade Italian mosaic keystone, detailed brick and stone work and dramatic roof line. Custom HVAC grilles and brass handrails also reflect the aesthetic imagery of the church and add subtle and beautiful details.
