Summary
Timberlake Construction recently completed renovations at the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond, a historic building that has served the community since 1962. The project included the construction of a new office administration area, the removal of interior walls and ceilings, and the relocation of the existing fire sprinkler system. New HVAC and electrical equipment were installed, along with the relocation of electrical panels. The east exterior was updated with new lighting, and new sidewalks were poured on the eastern side of the building. Stained glass windows were carefully relocated, and a 20-foot wall between offices was removed to create a more open and functional space. This involved structural modification of existing wood trusses. Additional improvements were made to the Palmer Restrooms and the basement school restrooms. The new lobby features a history wall element tracing the church’s interface with the community for the last 75 years, as well as a performance stage and coffee ministry gathering area.
We’ve had the opportunity to work on other parts of this church in past projects, and it’s especially meaningful to us, as our founder was a member of this congregation.
