Summary
The Devon OCU Boathouse was constructed on Boathouse Row on the Oklahoma River, and provides state-of-the-art training facilities for the nation’s elite rowing, canoeing, and kayaking athletes, as well as providing a home to Oklahoma City University’s rowing team.
The facility was designed as an iconic landmark on the nation’s newest premier rowing venue, and contains a wealth of facilities including an indoor propulsion rowing tank, various training facilities, a boat storage and repair space, and several event spaces that have sweeping views of the Oklahoma River.
The boathouse building was clad in composite aluminum panels, translucent polycarbonate panels, and glass curtainwalls with LED lighting accents. A detached mechanical courtyard contains the building’s mechanical equipment.
