Summary
The Langston University Department of Public Safety facility houses the university police department which upholds federal, state, and local laws upon campus, as well as enforcing campus traffic and parking regulations. We provided comprehensive construction management for the building of the new facility which consists of a main building and a support building.
Located in the main building are holding cells, interrogation rooms, Kevlar reinforced walls, bullet resistant doors and glass, and an emergency operations room. Located within a surveillance room is the access control and surveillance equipment. The support building includes a garage area and a tornado shelter in the basement.
Both the main building and the support building have a brick and EIFS façade, covered parking, and two sky vaults.
