Summary
Located in downtown Edmond, this 84,000 square foot facility is the state-of-the-art home for Edmond’s police HQ, emergency communications center, and emergency management operations. This three-story building also includes a basement level that houses holding cells. Geothermal wells that provide heating and cooling for the facility are located on an adjacent site, and the structural concrete frame is clad in brick and precast concrete panels.
This building required many specialized systems, extensive integrated security measures, access control, detention furniture, 911 infrastructure install provisions, and materials with long lead times, such as bulletproof glass.
This contract also included work on an additional facility that houses the police department crime lab and vehicle and evidence storage. We were able to allow early occupation to this facility to avoid our clients having to rent an alternative space to house their cars, equipment, and trailers.
