Summary
This construction project for the First Christian Church of Ponca City joined the original church building (built in the 1920s) to a classroom structure added in the 1950s. We provided construction management services for this project.
The existing one-level enclosed hallway between the two buildings was replaced with a three-level structure that created public spaces on all three levels. An elevator was added that services all three levels of the new structure. The interior of the addition was finished out using architectural elements that were similar in style and material to those chosen for the original 1920s church building. In addition to the construction work, the existing 1950s classroom building was remodeled to reflect modern needs and comforts.
All the work was phased around, and completed with minimal impact on, normal church operations and activities.
