Safety
Timberlake Construction Company is committed to providing its clients, employees, and subcontractor’s employees a jobsite that is free from recognized hazards.
Timberlake Construction has an established Corporate Safety Program along with a site specific plan, since all projects are different. We carefully spend time before each project begins to recognize/ prevent hazards during preconstruction in order to ensure that we provide our clients with valuable safety information.
Programs in place for Project Managers, Project Engineers and Superintendents include:
- Bi-monthly safety meetings
- End of month safety meetings
- Superintendent Safety Rewards Program
- OSHA 30 training
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Sixteen TECH (Timberlake Education Class Hours) required each calendar year
- Timberlake Safety Week held quarterly with live equipment demos, exhibit booths, door prizes and cookout for Timberlake employees and industry associates
At the beginning of each project, our Safety Director, an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer, will conduct a pre-construction safety meeting with all subcontractors to discuss safety concerns and Safety accident prevention. Each subcontractor is required to fill out a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) before performing any major task. This analysis is designed to analyze potential hazards. If a situation occurs, management and subcontractor will have a plan to follow. Each subcontractor is required to conduct a weekly safety meeting as well as document attendance and topics. The site superintendent will keep a copy for filing. The JHA and safety meeting can be found in the TCI subcontract for all subs to view before coming on site. Being on the leading edge of safety, Timberlake Construction requires all subcontractors foremen to be OSHA 10 trained.
During the duration of all projects, our Safety Director will visit the jobsite on a consistent basis to ensure we maintain a safe jobsite and manage our safety documentation.
Timberlake Construction takes time to perform work correctly and safely and as a result has a history of zero lost time accidents.
Please note that due to new OSHA requirements, the OSHA 10 class must be held over two days.
